When Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine was still in military detention, a woman now identified as Suzan Namata recorded a video of herself and friend telling President Yoweri Museveni to release the legislator who had been arrested in Arua on August 13.
Namata has now been arrested for using obscene words in the September viral video and is set to appear before Buganda Road Court on charges of offensive communication and cyber harassment.
According to the police, Namata said in the video “that President Museveni looked like his grandfather’s buttocks. She is said to have threatened to beat him and hit him with her genitals on his teeth.”
The police are now hunting for the other party with whom Namata appeared in the video to face similar charges.
“She used obscene words to abuse President Museveni and uploaded them on social media. By doing that, she committed the offences of offensive communication and cyber harassment. The charges have been sanctioned and she will appear in court today (Wednesday),” Vincent Ssekatte, the mouthpiece for Directorate of Criminal Investigations has said.
