With the clock ticking ahead of Uganda-Lesotho tie at Namboole tomorrow, Cranes captain Denis Onyango has stated that the national team is in good spirit and ready to fight for the pride and badge of Uganda.
“As the captain, am here to confirm that all players are in good spirit and ready to take on Lesotho tomorrow. In this no player is underestimating Lesotho because in these modern days, there is no small team, all teams fight for pride”, Onyango stated while addressing the media.
‘Mr Safe Hands’ Onyango further promised Ugandans that with their support, Cranes will qualify by the end of Tuesday when they play away in Maseru.
“Qualification is not only a mandate to players but even fans have to play a big role to push us through. So with your support we might qualify by the end of Tuesday.”
Just like Onyango, Head Coach Sebestein Desabre stated that his side is in good spirit as he said; “This is an important game for qualification. We are in good spirits. We have spoken to players and they understand the importance of this game”
“I urge the Ugandan fans to support the team like they did against Tanzania. We need to qualify for AFCON as a unit.”
