Former AG, Peter Nyombi passes on
Peter Nyombi, SC, the former Attorney General, passed on Sunday night at SAS Clinic on Bombo Road in Kampala.
According to family members, Nyombi had been attending a family function in Buziga but later felt uneasy. He was taken to the clinic at around 8 pm and was pronounced dead at 9 pm.
The late’s brother, Dr John Ssenyonyi, Vice Chancellor at Uganda Christian University (UCU) said funeral preparations are still being finalised.
Frank and Sheila Gashumba in catfight
City businessman Frank Gashumba is in a social media catfight with his celebrity daughter, Sheila Gashumba with one criticising the other about their behaviours, responsibilities and rights.
Gashumba noted in a social media post that his family is not a democracy and he will raise his child as he sees fit, doing the best he can but Sheila thinks otherwise.
She accuses him of unnecessary use of violence and micromanagement that curtails her freedom to move and associate freely.
Museveni dishes out Shs500m to Kampala traders
President Yoweri Museveni on Friday continued his cash bonanza as he dished out over shs500m to traders in downtown Kampala during his tour of the city.
Museveni blamed the traders for voting opposition politicians to offices that have stifled his working relationship with the “wanaichi.”
On his tour, the president visited the old taxi park, St. Balikuddembe Market, among other places.
