International award-winning standup comedian Patrick ‘Salvador’ Idringi will treat Ugandans to a steady supply of humour yet again after the return of his star-studded Africa Laughs show was confirmed yesterday, September 4. First held in 2013, the feast of laughter will celebrate its fourth season on October 8, 2018 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Salvador has over the years transformed into one of the biggest brands in comedy both locally and across the continent, with his blend of laugh-out-loud humour and cheeky charm.
Keeping true to the benchmark he has set, Salvador will be flying in international comedians Prof Hamo (Kenya), Kevin J (UK), Basketmouth (Nigeria), Alfred Kainga (Zimbabwe), Eddie Kadi (Congo), Mc Jessy (Kenya) and Arthur Nkusi (Rwanda).
Also, local acts are lined up for the Singleton-sponsored event include; Daniel Omara, Prince Emma, Ronnie Mcvex, Agnes Akite and Madrat&Chiko .
There will definitely be no reason to miss out on what promises to be an evening of rib-cracking comedy at the Serena Conference Hall come Monday October 8 with individual tickets going for Shs100,000 and a table available for Shs500,000.
The lineup promises a blend of acts that include dialects, character voices, accents, great insight into human nature and street wise humour.
For Salvador, the journey the Africa Laughs show has enjoyed is testament to the growth of comedy in Uganda and the region at large.
