For the first time since his arrest on August 13, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi better known as Bobi Wine spoke about his arrest, detention and torture in Arua.
The nasty ordeal reveals the despicable acts that army officers attached to the Special Forces Command (SFC) did to the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament leaving him unable to talk and walk that he needed special treatment that he is currently receiving in the United States of America (USA).
Now the army responded to the statement released on September 3 saying all implicated soldiers will be arrested and tried.
“We don’t torture people to that extent. If what Bobi Wine alleges in the statement is true, our investigations will unearth it and make no mistake, every officer will be individually accountable,” Brig. Richard Karemire, the UPDF Spokesperson said.
