Norbert Mao who is part of the dignitaries in Gulu after court bailed out Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentamu and 11 others, has stated that most Ugandans are not ready to wait for the next general election due in 2021 to change leadership but rather want change instantly.
“The meaning of what is happening is that Ugandans are not going to wait for 2021. Ugandans want transition now, power belongs to the people,” Mao stated while addressing journalists outside court.
According to the Democratic Party president, the public should not be afraid of the government saying; “We are not armed and also they don’t have enough prisons to hold all of us. We in the opposition have to organize ourselves and present an answer to this failing state.”
