There are several reasons why people cry on their graduation day! After-all, they say the roots of education are bitter but its fruits are sweet! Yes, that holds water in the case of Hon. Namuganza Persis Princess. While speaking at the launch of Cavendish University Alumni Association launch as the institution celebrated ten years in Uganda, the former student, Namuganza stated that she almost dropped out of university after the going got tough.

At the time, Hon. Namuganza was pursuing a Masters’ Degree in International Relations which she attained in 2014. She was then serving as the Deputy RDC in the Luweero President’s Office, a tenure which ran from 2012 to 2015. Yes, despite serving in the president’s office, she was offered no ‘special treatment’.

Among other distinguished alumni included South Sudan CDF Gen. Jok Ariak.
