With just a few hours left to the much-anticipated appearance of Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi before the General Court Martial for trial, his lawyers have expressed concern that the trial has been moved to Gulu, not Makindye as earlier communicated.
Nicholas Opiyo, one of the legislator’s lawyers has said that his client’s charge sheet could have been amended to reflect treason as one of his charges.
“We have it on good authority now that the State will take Bobi Wine to Gulu tomorrow and charge him with treason alongside the others already charged there,” he said.
According to sources, the change in venue is due to fear that protestors will storm the court and disrupt the process.
