As the final day of campaigns sets off in Bugiri By-election, the day has already had its fair share of drama. In the wee hours of the morning, police reportedly arrested four of Hon.  Kyagulanyi’s team including his personal assistant, video director Kim XP and polling agents of candidate Asuman Basalirwa. Basalirwa’s house was also coded off by the military.

Speaking to the Parliament hopeful, he stated that the tension that was brewing has calmed. He further stated that they were ready to start off the procession despite the arrests that were made.

When we asked about the whereabouts of Hon. Kyagulanyi, he revealed that he was at large.

“Bobi Wine is still at large”, he stated.

Despite the challenges, Asuman Basalirwa sounded hopeful and enthusiastic.
