Nambooze finally granted police bond

Mukono municipality woman MP Betty Nambooze has been given a police bond after spending a fortnight in police’s hands. She was given the police bond after Mulago hospital recommended that she needs to seek further medical attention abroad.

This has come barely a day after a section of Opposition MPs were blocked from transferring Hon Nambooze from Kiruddu hospital upon being cleared by Mulago hospital management to travel to India for better treatment.

Nambooze was arrested two weeks ago on allegations of inciting violence against former Arua municipality MP Hon Ibrahim Abiriga.

She will be expected to report  to Commissioner Homicide Department at Kibuli on July 29th.
