Ugandans living in USA are looking forward to partying with former half of defunct Nigerian singing duo P Square- Paul Okoye aka Rudeboy as a solo performer!
The organisers of the annual Uganda Festival aka the summer’s ultimate event recently announced Rudeboy as the latest addition and headlining performer at the event slated for Washington, USA this August.
This will not be the first time the Nigerian star will be performing for Ugandans in America; Rudeboy performed alongside his brother Peter Okoye at the same event in Las Vegas last year.
Following their separation, Rudeboy has proved that he is still a force to reckon with, after the release of his debut single titled Fire Fire.
Fire Fire is enjoying massive airplay on international, continental and local music channels.
The Uganda Festival is an annual event organised by Ugandans in the diaspora under their umbrella body- UNAA Causes.
This year’s festival is slated for August 31st to September 3rd at Gaylord Habor Resort.
UNAA Publicity Secretary Caroli Mpoza confirmed that all necessary paperwork was concluded for Rudeboy to entertain at the three-day long event.
However, Rudeboy will not be a lone performer at the event; the Nigerian star will this year share the stage with a streak of leading Ugandan entertainers led by the legendary Afrigo band, the new legend David Lutalo, Geo Steady, Chris Evans, Fille, Agelina (a UK-based Ugandan artiste), Lydia Jazmine, as well as jazz star Isiah Katumwa.
The event which will wind up with a boat cruise, will also have a fashion gala, where celebrated Ugandan designers like Anita Beryl, Fatuma Asha as well as Arapapa’s Santa Anzo will showcase their designs.
