West Nile outfit Onduparaka FC has scooped a five-year charity partnership deal with Everton in the Community, the Charity arm of Everton Football Club in the UK.
“This is a dream come true for a club like ours with a humble beginning. We are particularly happy that our corporate social responsibility and good football has earned us a place in this partnership. We are excited to partner for a great cause, as a community club we aspire to make a meaningful contribution to the youth and vulnerable persons in West Nile. Onduparaka FC is more than happy to join Everton FC in using sports to address some of the eminent challenges in the refugee community. The Partnership that is intended to contribute towards the wellbeing of refugees and host communities in West Nile region through sport, comprises of other institutions that include; Arian Teleheal International Telemedicine Charitable Trust, Arua Regional Referral Hospital, Uganda Red Cross Society, East London NHS Trust – Butabika Link, Health Education England (HEE), Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET), Uganda UK Health Alliance (UUKHA) and the University of Northampton.
