Leah Kagasa is surely having the best of her second term as Miss Uganda. A few weeks back, she was signed as a brand ambassador for Richy Maziwa Biscuits. The latest we have learnt is that Leah in partnership with Uganda North America Association Causes ( UNAA) have started up a countrywide campaign to clean and provide clean water in all areas of the country.
The process will involve cleaning up old-time boreholes, building up new sites for water supplies in strategic places around the country.
The latest beneficiaries of this programme are people from Bweyogerere in Kiira Municipality. Recently, Miss Uganda and her team reached out residents of Bweyogerere and constructed new boreholes and cleaned up links that provide clean water.
Brenda Nanyonjo Miss Uganda Boss says, this year Uganda will realise that Miss Uganda is not only about beauty but also to reach a hand to the community.
“ This is another project we feel shall change people’s lives, UNAA and Miss Uganda are ready to do what it takes to see people have clean water and we are also happy that we are the brand ambassadors,” she said in a brief interview.
UNAA Causes is an organization that brings Ugandans, friends and members of the Ugandans living in North America together to promote and fight for causes they care about.
