Parliament Director of Communications, Chris Obore has confirmed that the law making institution has revived plan to procure a chopper for the office of the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga.
“Parliament needs a chopper because constituencies have become many and we also want to do outreach programs. The outsourcing of choppers from police & UPDF is an inconvenience to the Speaker and the security forces,” Obore stated.
Last year in May, the proposal to purchase speaker a chopper started as a rumour but later it was confirmed as Buikwe North MP Paul Musoke presented a proposal to Parliament asking government to procure two helicopters; one for the Speaker and the other for the Chief Justice.
