Kanyamunyu’s Burundian girlfriend wants to be tried in French language

Ugandans have been wondering when the case of city businessman, Mathew Kanyamunyu, his girlfriend, Cynthia Munwangari and elder brother Joseph Kanyamunyu would be heard in Court.

The trio this afternoon appeared before Justice Steven Mubiru of Kampala High Court to take a plea. They denied murdering rights activist Kenneth Akena at Forest Mall, Lugogo. 

Munwangari, a Burundian national has asked Court to get her a French Translator or try her in the French language on January 21, 2019, when hearing the case will commence saying it is her best language of instruction. 

alleges that the accused murdered Akena by shooting after he knocked their car at Lugogo, Kampala. Akena died at Norvic Hospital on where he had been taken by the accused.
