Fashion lovers were yet again treated to yet another extravaganza of dress and style at the sixth edition of the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

The event, a celebration of fashion in Uganda and across Africa attracted some of the continent’s top fashion designers and industry trendsetters who were a picture of glamour as they strutted on the red carpet to the Victoria Ballroom, which hosted the spectacular event.

Hosted by Kenya’s Anita Nderu and Tracy Wanjiru, the Ciroc-sponsored event awarded those who are making their mark in the fashion world with the night’s big winner being Fatuma Asha who won the award for Fashion Designer of the year (Uganda) and Saida Beauty who was named Makeup Artist of the year.

“The fashion industry in Uganda had over the years not been given the respect due to it. I am glad that the ASFAs have changed this and created an awareness to what fashion has to offer and the positive impact it can have to the country’s economy,” said Brian Ahumuza, the ASFAs founder.
