Comedy enthusiasts were treated to a cocktail of jokes last night as the Africa Laughs comedy show served up a memorable fourth season at Kampala Serena Hotel.
The Singleton-sponsored show that is hosted by award winning comedian Patrick Salvador Idringi turned out to be a night filled with rib cracking humour and had revelers wiping tears of joy all through.
The night featured performances from the ever lively Basket Mouth from Nigeria, from the, Arthur Nkusi from Rwanda, Alfred Kianga from Zimbabwe, Eddie Kadi from Congo and Prof Hamo and Mc Jessy from Kenya.
“What we have witnessed today is one of many things that goes to show that the comedy industry in this country has developed. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am for the support. My sincere appreciation goes out to my fans who have believed in me since I premiered the show in 2013,” said Salvador.
From political jokes to sexual innuendoes the night was loaded with jokes that left revelers in awe. The highlight of the night was author Nkusi, professor Hamo and Alfred kainga’s performers that left revelers laughing out loud.
The night also featured local acts like Daniel Omara, Madrat & Chiko, and Agnes Akite among others who had the crowd laughing their lungs out throughout the night.
Salvador has over the years transformed into one of the biggest brands in comedy thanks to his blend of laugh-out-loud humour and cheeky charm that pulls crowds wherever he goes. Monday night proved yet again that the comedian is surely one of the continent’s best.
