CBS journalist Tomusange Kayinja, survives death by a whisker after thugs shoot his car, rob him clean

Veteran CBS FM radio presenter, Tomusange Kayinja has all reasons to eat his chicken after surviving a rain of bullets fired by alleged armed robbers on Monday evening. 

It is alleged that Tomusange who was visiting his village, Kimanya zone A in Masaka municipality, was intercepted by the robbers after he drove from his grocery shop located in Nyendo on the outskirts of Masaka town. 

According to Tomusange, the robbers mounted a roadblock near his home and shot at his car robbing him of his valuables and car although it was later recovered by the police. 

“One of them shot a bullet directly through the windscreen but narrowly missed my head. He dragged me out of the car and ordered me to surrender all the money I had. They searched me as I pleaded with them to spare my life.

They instructed him to crawl to his home and they drove away. That is when I notified the police,” he narrated.  

The Masaka District Police Commander, Jacob Kule says they immediately swang into action recovered Tomusange’s car and two bullet shells from the scene to aid their investigations.
