NTV Journalist on the run after getting “multiple death threats” for Arua chaos coverage

Journalist Arnold Kyambadde attached to NTV Uganda has fled for the heels after he received anonymous calls threatening his life for coverage of the Arua chaos, Matooke Republic has learnt.

Kyambadde intimated to a close friend who preferred not to be mentioned in this article that he had received multiple death threats and decided to stealthily leave the country for his safety.

The scribe was one of the journalists deployed to cover the Arua by-election but managed to escape by a whisker when the security cracked down on media arresting his colleagues Herbert Zziwa who was reporting live the shooting of Bobi Wine’s driver, Yasin Kawuma.

Thirty-three people including Members of Parliament have since been arrested and charged with treason.

Kyambadde’s whereabouts remain unknown as his family and friends mount search for him.
