Bobi Wine writes letters to his children: “Sorry I couldn’t come home today. I want you to be strong.”

Bobi Wine has refused his children to visit him in military detention and instead written them letters asking them to be strong.

According to his wife, Barbra Kyagulanyi, Bobi Wine thought his condition would traumatize his children the more.

“Don’t you think finding me in this state will traumatise them further?” he asked her when she told him that the authorities had permitted the children to visit him.

In the letters, Bobi Wine asks his son, Solomon Kampala who is at school to be strong.

“Be strong and be the man I always wanted you to be. I will one day be free and reunited with the entire family.”
