Pornography case: UCU student falls sick in Luzira, co-accused Ashburg Kato released on bail

Buganda Road court has heard that a UCU student who is on charges of procuring and broadcasting pornographic material is severely sick and currently admitted at Luzira prison health facility.

Prison authorities explained to Chief magistrate Mary Babirye that Lillian Rukundo was not produced in court on Monday, because she got an Asthma attack on Monday morning, and collapsed while entering the prison’s bus.

Rukundo was last week on Monday charged and remanded to Luzira prison for allegedly procuring and uploading videos of herself while masturbating with an intention of sexually arousing whoever views them.

Rukundo who had pleaded guilty to ten counts of procuring pornographic materials, however, changed her plea denying the offences after her, the magistrate and the prosecutor Emily Ninsiima played her pornographic video in court last Friday.

She is jointly charged with a social media blogger Ashiraf Kato alias Ashburg who is said to have uploaded her pornographic videos and half-naked body on the internet in 2017.
Court has released Ashburg on a cash bail of Shs500, 000 while as a production warrant for Rukundo has been issued for tomorrow afternoon.

Hearing of the case has been fixed for August 3.
