The Pan-African bank has launched yet another groundbreaking promotion that will reward five customers an all-paid trip to Abu Dhabi to watch the coveted Formula One Grand Prix.

To participate in the “Transact and Win” promo, customers will have to download and use the bank’s state-of-the-art mobile app to transact on the go.

“The winner will be selected based on the number of transactions done using the application.”

According to Nuhu Kanyike, the Head of Consumer Banking at Ecobank, over 85,000 customers are already using the Ecobank mobile app.

“We are moving into a cashless future where we no longer need to carry cash for convenience,” he said.

His voice was re-echoed by Clement Dodoo, Ecobank’s Managing Director who argued that for Africa to make the quantum leap, it must embrace the digital movement.

“The quickest way to transform Africa’s economy is embracing innovations in the digital sphere which bring the world together.”

The Ecobank mobile app cuts across all the 33 countries in Africa where the bank has a footprint.

The promotion is valid till November 1, 2018, ahead of the race which is slated for November 25.

Besides the normal transactions such as paying bills, sending and withdrawing money, the Ecobank mobile app allows users to attach other bank VISA cards, receive and send money across Africa at lower rates, and withdraw using the e-token from any Ecobank ATM.
