As outraged Ugandans led by Hon Robert Kyagulanyi are today planning to march to Parliament in protest of what they call ‘injustice’ taxes, State minister of Finance for Planning, Hon. David Bahati has revealed how he is also affected by taxes.

While appearing on NBS TV Frontline talkshow, Bahati stated that; “We’re talking about every part of government feeling like they’re part of the revenue collection. I receive Shs11m as salary and I give Shs5m as tax every month.”

According to the minister, this financial year’s budget t is directed to cater for all productive sectors and they are trying to make a few improvements that will help to broaden the tax base.
