Victoria University, Wizarts Media sign MoU on journalism training

Victoria University and Wizarts Media have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will lead to further training of journalism students at the university. According to the MoU, Wizarts Media will train journalism students at the university in digital journalism.

Speaking at the function to ink the deal, Victoria University’s academic registrar, Joseph Nyakaana said the partnership will go a long way in equipping students with skills needed to excel in their work.

“Among other things we must have in-depth training of our students during the time they are with. During the three-year course, the students must have continuous interface with the sector Wizarts Media are young innovative people in the industry and provide variety of training opportunities and the contemporary training that is currently needed,” he said.

Wizarts Media is a production house started in 2008 whose core business is making radio and television programmes, ranging from radio/ TV spots and commercials, to radio/TV features, talk shows, dramas, and documentaries.

The function took place at the university premises on May 17.V
