Women side dishes that successfully became wives

It is the week of love and as we celebrate Valentine’s, there are women who started off as side dishes but ended up ensnaring men who were already committed elsewhere to commit to them. Some might want to call them home wreckers but many of them see themselves as saving men from evil wives.

The blame is not entirely on these women, as many married men have never stopped chasing more “skirts.” For some it is love and for others, as long as the man is financing basic needs, she remains in the picture and hatches a plan to become the main woman.

Also, often times married men bad mouth their wives to their side dishes promising that its only a matter of time before they drop them. Then it becomes the side dish’s mission to remind the man to come good of their promises.

Here are some famous side dishes who became main chicks.

Magogo’s Dorah Dellah Sally

She was the official side dish of FUFA president, Moses Magogo until recently when she became the main woman. She officially introduced Magogo to her parents late last year. A while before the introduction ceremony, Dellah would accompany the Fufa President to several events including the 2016 World Cup in Brazil. Before long, tongues started wagging and to stop the rumour mill, Dellah confirmed on her social media platforms that Magogo was indeed her man. Magogo was married with three children before he got hitched to Dellah. However as a Muslim man, he still has two other slots.

Cedric Babu’s DJ Karol

Cedric Babu’s marriage to Alison Gallagher the mother of his boys collapsed after DJ Karo (real name Carol Kisukye) emerged. Gallagher cried on social media calling Karo a home wrecker but Cedric and Karo ignored her antics making it official by visiting her parents in January.

Karo started out as a DJ managed by Cedric’s Kinetic Management Group and she also used to run his organisation’s social media platforms under her M-Idea company. Very soon chemistry developed and they now live together in Naguru.

Douglas Lwanga’s Lisa Linda

NBS TV’s Douglas Lwanga got married in 2010 at the age of 25. In 2014, online reports indicated that his marriage was on the verge of collapse after his wife started complaining about his closeness with Lisa Linda. He denied the allegation, shortly after Linda got pregnant and rumour had it that Douglas Lwanga was the father of the baby. In 2016, Douglas’s official wife threw in the towel paving way for side dish Linda.

Linda happily took over Douglas and she is now the main woman. The two have two children together.

Pastor Kula’s Imelda Namutebi

Pastor Imelda Namutebi is one of the richest and most influential pastors in the country with a multi-million dollar Church complex in Lugala, several apartment buildings and a fleet of expensive cars. Pastor Namutebi got married to Tom Kula on February 14th, 2003 at a highly hyped wedding held at Liberty Worship Center in Lugala.

The wedding was followed by controversies that Kula was still entangled in an older relationship whereby Imelda used her power and money to lure the man to her side. Despite Kula being much younger than the pastor, the two have managed to maintain a stable marriage since then.

Singer Maureen Nantume

We got to know that singer Maureen Nantume was a side dish graduating into a main a wife just a few months to her introduction ceremony. A one Nana came out accusing the singer of stealing her man. She alleged that Ronnie Nsubuga and her had been married with three children but  Maureen had used her fame to take away her man.

However her pleas fell on the deaf ears of Ronnie and Maureen as the two went on with an introduction ceremony and are now living husband and wife.

 Coach Sam Simbwa’s Sophie Nantongo

Singer Sophie Nantongo’s story is hilarious. She was a side dish even when she was married to another man. She used to see Coach Sam Simbwa behind the back of her man Hajji Abdul Mubiru aka Kagoma. Later Sam Simbwa dumped his first family and settled with the singer.

Police boss Norman Musinga

Norman Musinga and his wife Esther Kyinkuheire, exchanged vows at Namirembe Cathedral on September 17, 2010 and their marriage didn’t last long. In  September 2016, Musinga filed for divorce from Kyinkuheire citing irreconcilable differences.

In her defence, his wife accused him of running away with a side dish known as Racheal who he has a child with. The divorce case is still in court before Makindye magistrate but Norman lives in Rubaga with Racheal.

Vincent Sekatte and Catherine (wife was Halima)

CIID spokesman Vincent Sekatte held a secret Kukyala in Mutundwe last November at his new partner Catherine Nabunya’s parent’s home. Catherine works at BBS TV as a Crime Reporter and their “Kukyala” (traditional pre-wedding ceremony where the groom visits the home of the bride stating intentions to marry and set the timeline) was held under tight security to avoid a scenario where the wife would “disorganise” the kukyala.
