In what is expected to be the last debate on the age limit bill ahead of voting, Members of Parliament are doing all what they can to win support of the respective sides of either “Jikwateko” or “Tojikwatako.” For one of the front figures of the Jikwateko minister Evelyn Anite, she said 100% of the people from Koboko are in support of the amendment.
“The people of Koboko said they cannot imagine themselves going to the polling station without Museveni’s name on the ballot. They told me not only to touch the constitution but also to squeeze it,” Anite strongly stated.
After Anite, their came fellow NRM MP Alex Byarugaba who represents the people of Isingiro County South. For Byarugaba he used a personal example saying; “My father is over 85, he drives a vehicle, he has four wives, he runs his family and commands respect”.
