Nakawa magistrate’s court has released seven out of the 22 suspects in the murder of former police spokesperson AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
In the ruling today morning, grade one magistrate Noah Sajjabi stated that the suspects had spent more than six months on remand without trial so he had to release them on bail. However, he noted that each of the suspects would be required to pay Shs50m bond non cash and Shs500m non cash for each of the sureties.
Kaweesi earlier this year met his death a few meters from his home in Kulambiro as unknown gunmen moving on a boda boda gunned him alongside his bodyguard Kenneth Erau and the driver Godfrey Wamewo.
