Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba has taken a three-week leave.
He confirmed this to Reuters saying that everything needed for the October 26 repeat presidential poll was already in place.
He also said that it was the first time he was taking leave since his little boy was born. The son turns two (2) in two weeks’ time.
Suna East Member of Parliament and also Orange Democratic Movement Director of Elections Junet Mohammed took to social media, saying IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati is planning to fire CEO Ezra Chiloba and other staff this weekend.
This statement comes with just five days left to the repeat presidential election.
