Arua-based side Onduparaka FC has something to celebrate this weekend after sealing a sponsorship deal worth Shs390m with MTN Uganda. The deal will run for the duration of this season and Onduparaka will wear the MTN logo on the right of their jerseys, as Betway are already the team’s main shirt sponsor.
“This Shs360m sponsorship to Onduparaka is a sign of our commitment to ensure that the brand continues to grow further in resonance with our growth over the years in Uganda. We believe that it will go a long way in improving the Onduparaka brand and the welfare of the players,” said MTN’s Val Oketcho.
This deal means the telecom company has joined Betway in sponsoring the West Nilers, while Onduparaka is the second Azam Uganda Premier League club that MTN is sponsoring. Earlier this year they struck a Shs1.2b deal to sponsor KCCA FC.
