President Museveni has finally come out of the closet. He is fully dressed and ready to see off the presidential age limit cap off the constitution. While addressing NRM caucus yesterday, the president told the MPs that he is going nowhere and called upon all members to support scrapping off the age limit.

While the meeting was closed to media, NRM’s Ruth Nankabirwa, the government chief whip spilled the secrets as she addressed the press after the gathering.  He reportedly warned MPs stating that opposing the age limit means fighting him directly.

NRM “rebel” MPs who have been vocal against the bill were shown the exit before the meeting proceeded. The president reportedly seconded the decision to have them out of the meeting.

“Raise up your hand so that I can know  who is against me”, the president reportedly stated as rebel MPs were thrown out of the meeting.

As the “rebel” MPs were shown exit, no other legislator voiced discontent. They then discussed the way forward.
