While speaking to media, the NRM’s Ibrahim Abiriga vowed not to be intimidated anyone even if it means death.

“There’s only one person who can unite Uganda that is General Yoweri Museveni. That’s the reason why I want to die behind this thing. If it doesn’t succeed I’m retiring from Parliament and going home. If it succeeds I’m there. We’re NRM, this thing is ours and we’re lifting it together”, he stated.

Yesterday, parliament through the Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah confirmed to parliament that they had received two bills; one in support of lift the age limit and the other which had no motion but was opposing the intended amendment. However, Oulanyah continued to say that both will only be read before parliament after a meeting between the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and the parliament executive committee.
