This is how the prophet rolled in.

Prophet Elvis Mbonye’s followers organised a “dinner to honour his annointing” at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds on Friday. Tickets to the dinner went for Shs1m, 750k, 500k and 300k but followers were advised to “be in faith” for the higher fee.

Mbonye smiles as journalist and pastor Joseph Kabuleta kisses his shoe.

Now social media is awash with divergent opinions after photos have surfaced showing Mbonye’s followers kissing his shoes. Some are wondering how a human being can be elevated to the position of s deity while his followers are saying it is not uncommon to honour leaders, political or spiritual.
