To reduce on congestion in the city, KCCA increase parking fees starting this Friday.
Kampala Capital City Authority has hiked street parking fees in a bid to decongest the city.
With effect from Friday September 1, each vehicle will have to pay Sh1,000 for the first hour instead of the previous Shs400 and similar charges will apply for the second hour. After the first two hours, each vehicle will pay Shs800.
According to KCCA, the changes will aid in the reduction of congestion in the city as only people with purposeful intentions will drive their cars into Kampala.
