With almost a week to the debut “Tugende Mu Kikadde” concert, Sprout Africa, the team behind the classic concert have named radio personalities Patricko Mujjuka (CBS) and Andrew Kyamagero (Galaxy FM) as the official hosts of the Saturday May 6 concert.
The show which is slated to take place at the Kampala Serena Hotel is proudly sponsored by Matooke Republic newspaper and will feature performances by Ugandan music icons; Afrigo Band, Halima Namakula, Mariam Ndagire and Kabuye Semboga in a three-hour music extravaganza.
The event will feature a red carpet at arrivals and the dress code will be “vintage” to suit the event theme. And what better hosts than Patricko, who has worked alongside these musicians as an emcee at events they have braced, and on CBS radio which has played their music for decades!
Andrew, on the other hand, comes off as a perfect character that bridges the gap between the youth and the old-timers through his admirable command of the Luganda and English languages yet with a humorous touch. The latest from Sprout Africa is that tickets to the show — Shs1m for VIP and VVIP tables at Shs5m are almost sold out. You can get your tickets at any Payway outlet and at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
