It was a mixed start for Uganda Rugby Cranes at the Hong Kong Sevens today. The boys put up an excellent display in the first game which saw them thrash Tonga 29-0 but fell 24-0 at the hands of Germans in their second game.
In the game against Tonga, Michael Wokorach, Ramathan Govule, Lawrence Sebuliba and Philip Wokorach got Uganda’s tries. Germany leads Pool E after winning both its games. Tonga is rated 13th, Germany 25th, Uganda 43rd and Jamaica 71st in the world rugby rankings.
Uganda returns to action tomorrow morning at 4:44am against struggling Jamaica in the final last Pool E game. A win will see the boys qualify for the next round.
