Social media was set blaze when celebrated songbird Juliana released her “I’m Still Here” video last week. While some fans were excited that she had finally made a comeback, a section of other overnight critics cropped up and started dismissing the video for having similar scenes as J-Lo’s “I A’int Yo Mama” video.

They pointed out the scene of her scrubbing the floors, something that had a striking resemblance to J-Lo’s latest hit song. While on Sanyu FM, Celeb Select show on Saturday, Juliana explained that she was excited by the script of the video given that she is a woman who loves to clean her own house.

“The script was written by Candice (South African videograher and wife to Justin Campos of Gorilla Films) and what she was trying to do was create different characters. Now I did all these roles because they kind of appeal to me in different ways. I’m the kind of woman who cleans my own house. So when I  saw this idea, I was like ooh wow! This is so me,” she stated.

She also pointed out that there is nothing new in arts and people should embrace the song.

“Look at Beyonce, everything she’s done, people always come out and say that she stole it from someone but you know it’s not really stealing, or copying and pasting. Come on! It’s an inspiration. There’s nothing that you’re going to do in arts that has never been done before. So let’s just celebrate and look, it’s a beautiful song. It has a deep meaning. It’s an inspiring and uplifting song“, she stated.
