Defending champions KCCA FC will today be seeking to reclaim the top league spot as they face Police FC. On Tuesday, KCCA failed to reclaim the position after settling for a 1-1 draw against Soana FC in Kavumba.
Abudallah Mubiru’s Police FC which has gone four league games without a win, will host wounded Mike Mutebi’s KCCA at Namboole stadium this evening at 4:30pm. Mubiru is confident that his side is well prepared to dent the defending champions.
“My strategy is to win and if it fails I will settle for a draw. We have it in our minds that we are preparing to face the reigning champions,” said Mubiru.
However, Mutebi also believes that Police with put up a great challenge, “We are facing a good team with a very tactical manager in Abdallah Mubiru and it will not be an easy game but those are the challenges we have to face and the target we have is to go for maximum points,” said Mutebi.
Police will not have five of its players since they acquired them on loan from KCCA, these include; Martin Mpuuga, Paul Willa, Brian Ochwo, Hakim Senkumba and Yasin Mugume.
In the other games, rejuvenated Vipers SC will be traveling to Jinja to face almost relegated Jinja SS. Struggling Lweza fc will host mid-table Soana fc in Lweza.
