Mathew Kanyamunyu, Joseph Kanyamunyu and Cynthia Munwangari are expected to appear before the court today for their second bail hearing. The trio are the prime suspects in the murder of Kenneth Akena, a child rights activist.
They were denied bail in their first application on grounds that they had no permanent address.
The defense team argued that the offence of murder can be heard, tried and is bailable by the High Court. They also presented Winnie Byanima, Moses Karuhanga, Edith Byanyima and Julius Kanyamunyu, all relatives of the accused to stand as surety.
However, Prosecution led by Samalie Wakhooli opposed the application stating that the accused have no fixed place of abode.
