KCCA FC has been drawn against Egyptian side Al Masry in the last play offs of the Caf Confederation cup. KCCA will take this fixture as a chance to revive their hopes of competing on continental level. KCCA will be the first to host AL Masry at Phillip Omondi Stadium on a weekend yet to be announced before travelling to Egypt for the second leg.

However, Uganda Cranes and Ugandan clubs have not always been fairing well when facing teams from North Africa. With such a bad record, KCCA must be at its best if they are to knock out AL Masry.

To reach this stage, Al Masry knocked out Djoliba of Mali after it was awarded a walk over in the second leg. AL Masry had won the 1st leg 2-0. AL Masry has won 22 official trophies in its history. It has only managed once (2002) to make it to the tourney group stages and it went all through to the semi-finals.
