After witnessing how the woman of God, Pastor Jessica Kayanja, glowed when hubby, Pastor Robert Kayanja, handed her a teddy bear as her valentine gift, we couldn’t hesitate to crush on her this Wednesday.
Whilst some were demanding for iPhones, cars or perfumes that cost a few months of middle income rent, Jessica received her cute teddy bear and gave hubby a smile that could have gone for a million dollars if it wasn’t so priceless.
This reminds us of why Jessica is behind the renowned Girl Power Ministries- an international women’s organisation whose primary objective is to empower women physically, economically and most importantly spiritually.
Jessica is a graduate of International Relations from Makerere University. She also holds an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from the United Graduate Collage and was awarded a degree in Theology Honors’ in the Category of Distinction from the Heartfelt Institute of Ministry in Zimbabwe.
After her Seminary for pioneering Economic Empowerment of Women in Self-help in 2005, Jessica established the Girl Power Ministries. This ministry provides a crying shoulder to the plight of the homeless, orphans, rape and defilement victims, female prison inmates, street kids, sex workers, domestic violence victims et al.
The beneficiaries of the ministry are helped through orphanages like Kapeeka Orphanage and rehabilitation homes like Never Again and Miracle House.
As an inspirational speaker, Jessica has spoken to various congregations in Africa, UK, USA, Malaysia and South Korea. She is also a Director at Channel 44 TV and also launched a Professional Women’s forum where women are given a platform to sharpen and improve each other professionally.
As if that’s not enough, the woman of God also runs a weekly women’s prayer clinic (Women’s War Zone) every Saturday where women present their concerns to God.
Pastors Robert and Jessica Kayanja have three children together. Robert Jr, 21, and eighteen-year-old twin girls Kirstein and Kristiana.
We celebrate you Pastor Jessica Kayanja.
