From a two month break after concluding the first round of the Azam Uganda Premier League , it returns today with seven different fixtures at respective venues.
Defending champions and table leaders KCCA FC is looking forward to consolidate its position despite only having one point advantage over second placed SC Villa. The Kasasiro boys will host 14th placed BUL FC at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, KCCA finished unbeaten at home in the first round. When both teams met in the first round, KCCA beat hosts BUL FC 3-1.
SC Villa will today be away facing Bright Stars in Matuaga a game that will be live on Azam TV. In their first fixture this season, it was all about a goal rush after the game ended 5-3 in favor of Villa. Villa must not attempt to loss any point if it has to put pressure on KCCA.
As we wait for the official opening of their St Mary’s Stadium, Viper will today host Lweza FC in Namboole Stadium. Vipers struggled in the entire first round which even saw head coach Abdullah Mubiru and some of his staff being sacked. Richard Wasswa the interim manager will be looking forward to strongly start off this round. URA and Express will also be in action today as they try to fight for better postions.
