The murder trial of Kampala businessman, Matthew Kanyamunyu, his girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari and brother Joseph Kanyamunyu hit a snag on January 18th after the Nakawa Chief Magistrates court adjourned the case to enable the police complete investigations.
The suspects are accused of killing Kenneth Akena, a youthful community development officer, in Kampala last year.
High Court judge Elizabeth Kabanda had earlier denied the Kanyamunyu’s bail and ruled that the prosecution should be given more time to complete investigations.
The State Attorney also revealed that she had instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions to have the case adjourned to another date to enable the police complete investigations.
They are expected in court today.
