Songbird and guitarist Iryn Ntale recently quit Swangz Avenue, the record label that enabled her metamorphosis. She started out prominently as that choir songbird at Victory Church, Ntinda where perhaps many would have expected her to do gospel music.
She later got gigs at Emin Pasha Hotel where she serenaded the patrons with her soulful acoustic sounds. She performed live, massaging sweet melodies from her guitar as her voice flowed freely over the soothing lyrics like natural honey dripping on wet morning rose petals. Swangz Avenue could not escape this charm.
It was at Swangz Avenue that she finally had her breakthrough with Gyobera. The sweet, childlike voice followed up with hit after hit making the world fall in love as her songs became love anthems. She decorated the airwaves with songs like Nkubukinze, Stay With Me, Love Letter- a collaboration she did with Bebe Cool, Olindaba among others.
Ntale was born on 30th January 1989 to Mr and Mrs George William Ntale. She went to Kitante primary School, kitante Hill School for O-level and Makerere College for A level before earning a Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management at Kyambogo University.
We’re all waiting to see what emerging from the cocoon will bring out but we’re almost certain that the love song girl is going to bring nothing less than beauty, just like the butterfly that she is.
Flap! Flap! Flap! On the wings of your imagination explore every realm of life and keep us dancing, humming and singing to the tunes. We celebrate you.
