Power picked up the pieces and levelled matters after faltering in the closing minutes of game one. Lando’s boys started off game two much aware their back to back tormentors, City Oilers would look to punish them again. Thanks to their electric offensive, Power shocked City Oilers with a commanding lead in the last quarter and kept their foes at a distance till the last whistle. Paul’s two consecutive  three pointers and jump shots in the last quarter gave Power 58-50 lead over City Oilers before Enabu responded with a three pointer screamer. However, it was a little too late as Power surged forth and denied them a similar comeback as in game one. Macheal sank two free throws to seal the game 62-54.

Kami opened the scoring in the first minute of the game before City Oilers’s Makaidu shot back. Sensing the threat, Power went on rampage, running down their opponents with Ikong’s three pointer efforts and by the tenth minute, Power led 10 -6. City Oilers responded  with Ben Komakech to level matters later at 13-13 tie.

It was a game that saw the lead changing hands a couple of times with both struggling to take the lead. By the third quarter, it was all for grabs in the last round as City Oilers led 43-42. Eclectic trio Paul, Ikong and Micheal made the difference with Paul enjoying a game high of 15 points while his teammates had 11-all tie. Micheal scored ten rebounds and Ikong sank eight of them. Ikong would have given his team better advantage had he converted the several turnovers that kept the emotions flaring.

The win ensured after game two, the rivals were tied 1-1 thus setting pace for a possible game of seven series in league trophy decider. Game three will be played on Wednesday at 7:30pm at Lugogo MTN arena.
