While defending her position to amend article 102 (b) that seeks to remove upper limit for presidential age limit capped at 75 years, Bushenyi Woman MP Mary Karooro Okurut explained that she derives her inspiration from the Bible.

She stated that the Bible tells believers that all things will change except the word of God.

“The people of Bushenyi district who I consulted are agreeing to amend article 102b, however, their concern is that we improve services.The Bible tells us all things will change except the word of God”, she stated as she explained that the constitution should be amended.

She explained that the constitution is not a divine command.
