With the age limit regaining the front seat on the political scene this week as Members of Parliament on the Legal and Parliamentary affairs committee hand split opinions on meeting president Museveni for age limit bill consultation, deputy government spokesperson Col. Shaban Bantariza has added more wood to the fire. He revealed that they (NRM) have no plans of handing over to the opposition.

“We can never entrust or hand over power to inexperienced and confused Opposition leaders because they have little knowledge to manage the country affairs. The only experienced person and able to manage this country is President Yoweri Museveni,”vowed Col. Shaban.

In his speech at the Uganda Media Centre he stated that them (NRM) losing power will expose their weaknesses as he said; “Losing power to Opposition is like losing child and wife in the labour room. Handing over power is sign of exposing our weakness and inability of NRM government can never attempt.”
