Ugandan artiste Helen Nuwagaba crowned Africa Best Gospel Artist in Washington-based awards

Helen Nuwagaba has been crowned the best gospel act Africa in the annual African Awards of Washington. The awards recognises achievers, business leaders and entrepreneurs. The glamorous event attracted the African diaspora living in the U.S and around the world.

 

The ‘Webale Mukama’ singer beat Rosy Bush, Lucy Tene, Angel Mva and Naomi Achu to walk home with the award.

It is an even greater honor to be placed in such distinguished ranks as those of the past honorees, most of whom have been colleagues at one time or another, all of whom have made important contributions to my life in our city and state and all of whom I consider to be friends. Special thanks go to,  My Fans Family, Friends and all the voters”, she posted on Facebook.

This year’s edition took place on Saturday 25th November 2017 in Washington, DC.
