PHOTOS: ASFAs nominees highlight Ciroc Ultra Night launch at Sky Lounge

The nominees for the 2017 Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) celebrated their making it to the shortlist of the continent’s premier fashion event by coming together for the ultimate midweek party in town—the Ciroc Ultra Nights.

The celebration took place at Sky Lounge on Wednesday, and according to the organisers, the Kisementi-based bar will be the venue for the weekly event billed to be Kampala’s mid-week must-attend event.

The Ciroc Ultra Nights will be held every Wednesday at Sky Lounge, but with an opportunity for different bars to host the event at least twice a month.

And as a precursor to the huge fashion celebration coming up in form of the ASFAs on December 8, award nominees were treated to an evening of absolute fun and luxury thanks to the world’s leading premium vodka, Ciroc.

High fashion was the name of the game at an event where the Ciroc cocktails and pitchers were in plenty.

To add some spice to the evening, partygoers at the event were given a chance to win tickets to the Ciroc-sponsored ASFAs reaffirming its devotion to scale up fashion in Uganda.

“Ciroc is the ultimate party drink; the choice for socially exuberant individuals celebrating their successes in whichever venture they have engaged in, be it work or business. Ciroc is primarily about luxury and we are proud to be associated with the ASFAs because they radiate this very quality,” Roger Agamba, Reserve and IPS Manager said. “Through the Ciroc Ultra Nights we are telling Ugandans to come out and celebrate their achievements the best way they could.”

Ciroc has been a part of the ASFAs for three years now, having come on board as the headline sponsor of the biggest red carpet fashion affair on the continent in 2015. The ASFAs are an annual event celebrating fashion and style in Uganda as well as the region and beyond.

This year’s ASFAs are held under the theme “African Fashion is the Future #FashionTakeover”.  According to the ASFAS founder, Brian Ahumuza, also known as Abryanz, this year’s event seeks to highlight the entrepreneurial success of the African fashion industry hence introducing a fresh category; “Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year”.
