On Saturday, the students of the St. Lawrence schools and colleges honoured Professor Lawrence Mukiibi during their annual multiple show which was themed “The Legacy of Professor Lawrence Mukiibi”.
The students performed creative dramas as they recollected memories of the professor. The most spectacular performance came in from students of St. Lawrence Academy who did a creative drama of the “You raise me up” song which left most parents in tears.
However, most people were left questioning what kind of legacy the students were celebrating regarding the fact that he is rather “infamous” for having left a plethora of kids behind, suspected, from his own students.
Nevertheless, we cannot ignore the fact that he did a great job in uplifting the education standard within the Pearl, we do celebrate that as well.
