Police summons MP Nsereko over age limit comments

In a summon issued September 15, the Director Criminal Investigations, D/SSSp Odong Mark Paul, Police wants Nsereko to answer allegations of offensive communication and incitement to violence.

“Pursuant to Section 27A of the police Act, you are required to report to the office of the Commissioner Media Crimes on Tuesday September 19 at 900/c to provide valuable information in regard to the above allegation,” the summons reads.

Nsereko together with fellow legislators, Theodore Ssekikubo (Lmweyiga County), Okot Ogong (Dokolo County), Barnabas Tinasiimire (Buyaga West County), Wilfred Niwagaba (Ndorwa West) and John Baptist Nambashe (Manjiya County), last week held a press conference in which they promised a fist fight in parliament with those mooting the age limit removal.

Nsereko personally said they would grab speeches, and fight on the floor of parliament to ensure no one tables the age limit bill.

“We will fight in Parliament, tear bill, not allow speaker preside over parliament. This is going to end badly,” he said.

“We are read for a battle within parliament, no one will read that bill unless they are surrounded by all of you. We shall do everything possible not to let you speak on that floor of parliament, even if we remain four people, we wont allow it. This will be the rowdiest parliament session,” Mr. Nsereko added
